Cong Wang received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from the Beijing University of Aeronautic and Astronautics, Beijing, China, in 1989 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the National University of Singapore, Singapore, in 2002. From 2001 to 2004, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He is currently a Professor with the School of Control Science and Engineering, Shandong University, China. He has authored or co-authored over 100 international journal and conference papers, and co-authored the book Deterministic Learning Theory for Identification, Recognition and Control (CRC Press: Boca Raton, 2009). His current research interests include deterministic learning theory, dynamical pattern recognition, pattern-based intelligent control, oscillation fault diagnosis, and applications in early detection of myocardial ischemia and heart attacks.
